Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Why should I choose
Absolute Graphics & Photography for my portrait and graphic needs over
the many other photographers & graphic designers around?
A. Most other photographers or graphic designers have high overhead, in
that they have studios to run, employees to pay, et cetera. Absolute
Graphics & Photography is not studio-based, so I can afford to charge
less for my graphics & portraits.
Q. What kind of photographer doesn’t have a studio?
A. The kind of photographer who wants portrait subjects to feel
comfortable and relaxed during their sittings. A studio setting creates
nervousness and anxiety, which results in stiff, stuffy portraits that
don’t really say much about the person in them. At Absolute Graphics
& Photography, I will come to you, setting your photo session in your own
home or backyard, or wherever you feel most comfortable (within reason,
of course!), ensuring your comfort and personalizing your photo session.
Props and pets and friends are most welcome, as well. The bottom line is
that I want your portraits to be about you, not just a cookie-cutter
copy of other people’s photos.
Q. What will my pictures look like?
A. Whatever you’d like, within reason. I will gladly work with you to
find a set of poses that are indicative of your personality as well as
being visually pleasing. Just remember that whatever you decide to have
done for your portraits, Mom and Dad will have them on display for years
to come, so be sure you won’t be embarrassed by them later on!
Q. Okay, so how do I set up a photo session?
A. Simply give Absolute Graphics & Photography a call at
740.453.2068,
or send an email to
elenak111@hotmail.com to consult with me, the photographer. We’ll
discuss through email or over the phone what you would like for your
portrait package, including poses, clothing, props and your personal
style. Then, we’ll settle on a time and place for your session. Please
be sure to allow about 2 hours for your session, and be prepared to give
detailed directions to your home or preferred location.
Q. What can I include in my photo session?
A. You can have 4-6 changes of solid-colored clothing (try to avoid
prints and stripes, as they detract from the quality of your portrait),
makeup and hair styling accessories. If you are planning on including a
pet in your portraits, please make sure that the animal is attended to
by a friend or parent.
